Johna Villalba has been a fan of strange/horror fiction since elementary school, when she
got hooked on the genre by reading books that were definitely not age appropriate. Prior to
becoming a full-time writer and student, she worked in the animal health industry in both general
and emergency practices. Her love of animals hasn’t changed, but these days her professional
pursuits are centered around the written word. She is a supporting member of the Horror Writer’s
Association and always on the lookout for the next good scare. Born and raised in California, she
currently resides in Orange County with her husband, her son, and a menagerie of furred and
feathered friends including three dogs, two cats, and six hens. In her free time, she enjoys
reading, watching horror movies, long walks with the dogs, and occasional gardening. She has a
body of work consisting of one completed novel, one novella, and six terrifying shorts of varying
lengths with which she hopes to cause her audience at least a few sleepless nights. Check out
